09:37 pm - Join the Metalgrimage! I have started a Facebook group called "Kiwi Metalgrimage to W.O.A 2010!"
If you are interested in coming to the Wacken Open Air metal festival in Germany in 2010 please join up. We can share info about tickets, travel, camping, bands, etc.
The W.O.A is the biggest open air metal festival in the world. It's 3 days of nothing but metal with 70,000 other devoted metalheads who love black metal, death metal, power metal, thrash metal, gothic metal and folk metal etc. It takes place at the end of July/beginning of August in Summer. Bands that have played include Dragonforce, GWAR, Machinehead, Motorhead, Napalm Death, Saxon, Iron Maiden, Obituary, Gorgoroth, Dimmu Borgir, Emperor, Arch Enemy, Morbid Angel, and many many more.
You camp out at the festival in large camping areas (included in your ticket price) and as well as the four stages there is a Metal Market, giant swimming pool, activity area, beer garden, movies, internet cafe, supermarket, safe-deposit truck for valuables, etc.
So, if you are keen to come and become part of a Kiwi Contingent join the Metalgrimage!

03:26 pm - I QUIT!!!! Hah! I quit my job! I have handed in my notice and I am quitting and it feels soooooooooooooooo good ;p
On the 25th of Feb I am winging it down to Dunners for a couple of months before heading off overseas. I need to get my full drivers licence (I know, I know! It's so embarassing that I only have my restricted and I'm 26!) and get some office temp experience because I'll need it when I get to the UK. Also, I will pay no rent or bills so I can save lots of money.
I have begun "the purge" - I am selling my bed, bookshelf, heater, table and chairs, kitchen stuff, bedside cabinet etc and I should only have my books, CDs, DVDs, photos and clothes at the end of it to take to Dunners. I have already thrown away heaps of papers and all my Masters degree paper stuff and I am liking the new minimal look. Less stuff = less obligation and less responsibility and less pressure. It sounds weird but having less stuff makes me feel more in control of my life and therefore I am happier. Yay to the purge! Current Location: Work Current Mood: excited
